TheStream completed a field research on the island of Pico in the Azores with the French urbanist practice Villes Innovations. The field research explored the concept of Pico Learning Island as a strategic vision for a regeneration through an innovative ecological and creative approach.

The outcomes included a series of interviews of inhabitants, a baseline analysis of ecological challenges, a benchmark of regeneration projects around the world and a strategic framework for intervention.
